Earlier this month Gymea Allied Health said farewell to it’s longest serving team member, Mark Sorensen. Mark began working with, what was then, Gymea Chiropractic Centre in 1988 and has been providing first class health care to Gymea and the Sutherland Shire ever since. During his 28 years of service he turned what was a small chiropractic centre into the successful multi-disciplinary clinic we see today.
A surprise farewell was held at the newly renovated Gymea Hotel where 100 long standing patients, staff and Gymea Village business owners turned up to wish Mark all the best in retirement. Many patients had been with Mark since he began and it was overwhelming to witness the appreciation and great bond that had developed in that time.
Mark will be missed by the tight knit staff at Gymea Allied Health Centre. The majority of the staff have been there for a decade or more and that loyalty is in many ways due to a great respect for Mark. He was a tremendous chiropractor and a caring boss.
Chiropractor Matt Olthof has the tough task of stepping into Mark’s shoes and continuing the top notch treatment that GAHC patients have come to expect.
